On May 14, L-Art Gallery presents Zhang Zhaoying’s solo exhibition: Cultivating Ideals. The artist’s new paintings and installations in the series of “After the Party”, “Biography of Goth”, “I Wish Your Dreams Would Come True” and “People’s Square” reveal the thoughts and continuous explorations in his creative medium and artistic language in the recent years. Zhang Zhaoying’s path of art practice has been quite apparent, he wishes to translate his personal ideology and sensual experience into a rich and dramatic visual experience with taste and attitude, by which to provoke the viewer’s knowledge system, and formulating one’s own interpretation.
